May there be peace among us!
Let us turn back this bitter wave
That crashes upon both of us
Let us harness the energy lost to it
And use it for something more worthwhile
It is a futile thing
This self pity that we both go through
But alas it is a hard thing to break
Let us help one another to climb out of this pit of despair
And see the light again.
But for now...
In this pit I shall stay
Doomed to wallow in my sorrows
Waiting for someone...
To come and lift me out
All my life the face I have worn
Has not been my own
I have hid myself behind a mask of deceit
Trying to be what I am not
Why I felt I must be who I am not
I shall never know
Was it that I felt that my true face should not be shown
Hidden behind a veil
Or was it that I wanted to be someone else
Accepted by the crowd
But I know inside that this face I wear is not my own
That it is a lie
Ah but it is not others that I am deceiving
But myself
For they see what I am in the inside
Even if I do not
So I must pitch away this mask of deceit
And wear the face that is my own
All my life the face I have worn
Has not been my own
I have hid myself behind a mask of deceit
Trying to be what I am not
Why I felt I must be who I am not
I shall never know
Was it that I felt that my true face should not be shown
Hidden behind a veil
Or was it that I wanted to be someone else
Accepted by the crowd
But I know inside that this face I wear is not my own
That it is a lie
Ah but it is not others that I am deceiving
But myself

Even if I do not
So I must pitch away this mask of deceit
And wear the face that is my own

Arnold woke with a start from the dream and lifted his head from his desk. Sighing, he pulled the sheet of paper off his face where it had stuck and stared at it, frowning. It was covered with strange, incomprehensible symbols. He grabbed his glasses from where they had fallen off and put them back on, but it didnt make them any more recognizable. After realizing what was wrong he turned the paper the right way up and he started to recognize his Japanese to English translation worksheet. Arnold put his desk in more-or-less order and squinted at his clock
